After a morning of office chores I was delighted to get out and about making a set of portraits for a local musician called Kirsty McGee. You can find out more about her at www.kirstymcgee.com.

Anyway, a friend had recommended me to her as a good music photographer, and I’d arranged to go over to her place and shoot a set of pictures.

It was a fun session, and I was ably assisted by my friend Sian Gouldstone, who regular readers of my Blog will remember was my co-speaker at Redeye last year.

Over a couple of hours we shot literally hundreds of images, in both studio and natural light, in a number of different styles. These I whittled down to around thirty really nice ones, which I have post-processed in colour and black-and-white. A selection are shown below.
